Dear 2016

You have been one hell of a year, filled with its triumphs and defeats but each milestone being a learning curve. You’ve shown me heartache and you showed me happiness, you introduced me to incredible people that I am so grateful to have in my life. You taught me to be strong, to keep my faith because my God will never fail me. Thank you.

Thank you for the nights filled with tears, they were horrible but they helped mould me into a stronger woman. And though they were painful, you showed me that there was light in a dawning day. You gave me new experiences and let me fall in love with new passions, 2016 you showed me a new world straight out of my comfort zone.

Here’s to the laughs and smiles, the good conversation and the warm hugs, you were not a perfect year but I am not a perfect person but you taught me that I am enough because I am created in the image of Christ and I am the daughter of the Most High God. So as we say goodbye I cherish all the memories you’ve granted me.

And 2017, well Hello

You’re not here just yet, but I do hope that you will bring the following into this new year. I hope for new experiences, for growth and to learn. I hope together we will prosper and that with time this very blog will soar to new heights. May I continue to strive to be the best possible version of myself and may I handle situations with my head held high and with grace. I don’t know what you have in store for me yet, but I hope to flourish mentally, emotionally and spiritually as I reconnect. What it ever may be just know, I’m ready.
