It’s another Friday and another blog post on the amazing international designers that will be showcasing their garments at the Haute Fashion Exhibition curated by Eshaa Amiin. Tickets for the event are almost sold out and if you’re a fashion and style lover this is one event you’re gonna want to mark on your calendars.
The event will be held at the Square Boutique Hotel at Umhlanga, Durban on the 28th of July for the exclusive fashion show and VIP late night shopping. Before I get into my top 3 designers for today I thought I would share my look from my cousin’s wedding that I attended on Sunday. Because truthfully you may never see me this culturally dressed again. I honestly shocked myself with this look! So here’s a few photos from Sunday…
My Lengha was from India and I bought my jewellery and blouse from Chatsworth Centre.
My first designer for this post is the trendy and bold Malini Ramani. Her collection has a sporty and ethic flair with a gorgeous youthful twist. Her designs are playful and modern with beautiful use of patterns and prints. Each piece in her collection is a statement with a grand sense of drama and vibrance. I adore her eye for patterns but also her styling, its so unique to see her prints in a sporty aesthetic. Ramani is a male and female designer who is expressive and daring in her work. She has a genuinely refreshing take on modern sporty fashion and I’m excited to see what she sends down the runway at the event.
My next feature is the creative Rajat Tangri, a man who’s love for fashion was born when he started styling his siblings and spending his time through a kinetic experience with fabrics. He moved to Australia to chase his dreams and worked alongside some of the greatest names in Australian fashion, however in 2005 he began his career as a designer when he launched his label Rajat K Tangri. Tangri creates garments of sophistication an elegance for both men and women. His designs are modern and yet have an elegant sense. His choice in fabrics are soft though they are contrasted with vibrant statement colours that really add an extra pop to a wardrobe. His designs have a Hollywood meets Bollywood concept with the structure and tailoring of his garments. Tangri’s collection gives the impression of a red carpet event experience. They are simply gorgeous pieces.
Lastly, one of the events most prestigious designers is Neeta Lulla, a designer who is no stranger to the indian fashion industry. In fact Lulla has been a part of the fashion world for almost 3 decades. She’s not just well known in India but is an internationally recognised designer and influencer with expertise and creativity that has earned her respect in Bollywood. Lulla has lent her expertise to some of the most well known Hollywood and Bollywood collab films like Bride and Prejudice as well as Mistress of Spices. Her collections takes eastern-wear to an innovative and daring level with prints that are new and golf to the indian culture. Her designs have a regal air and class, her details are absolutely exquisite. “This collection is literally how to bring out your own inner queen and slay like a real Bollywood actress.”
I’m so excited and in awe to be attending such an incredible event that has such calibre designers. Tickets are selling out! So make sure you call 0827867855 to book your seat. I would absolutely love to see you guys there.
