A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of attending a beautiful event hosted by Varsity College Durban North. An empowering evening aimed at celebrating the power of a woman and the importance of self-branding. It was such a lovely event of socialising, laughter and smiles.

Hosted by the stunning and accomplished Mrs World 2016 Candace Abrahams who shared her story, imparted motivation and tips to achieving success and your dreams. Tailored around self-love and confidence, her words were inspiring to lead us in a direction to reach our goals.

Each guest was gifted with a little goodie bag with a notebook and pen and a cute print t-shirt (and well the rose I took off the table which I’ll have you know is doing really well and is still alive). However the best gift was the opportunity to interact with the simply beautiful Miss South Africa 2017, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters who graciously posed beside us for photos as well as speaking about her role and life as Miss SA. She opened up about the challenges and the opportunities she received since being crowned in our intimate setting. A true beauty both inside and out.

Dinner was a buffet where we socialised with old and new friends and where I was lucky enough to meet a blogging friend, Shiara Ackloo of the Purple Sunflower Blog. It was great for us to talk about our blogging journeys and finally meet each other.

A simply gorgeous event, that I am so grateful to have been a part of.
