I’m grateful, I’m humbled and I’m excited for the year ahead, 2 days ago I celebrated another year as I embark on my journey to conquer my 20s. And what a start it was!
Over the years my friendship circles have gotten smaller, I lost contact with old friends and even some new friends. But like I always say some people are only in your life for a season. To the friends who’ve made my entire birthday weekend a memorable and unforgettable experience, thank you. Thank you for the support, the shoulders I could lean on and occasionally cry on, for the prayers and for being such genuine people.
But most of all thank you to the 2 individuals who have done nothing less of love me and provide for me. To my parents, thank you for the sacrifices you’ve made for the last 20 years. Thank you for taking the time to invest in me as a woman, for the efforts and the nurturing you put in towards my growth. I am so inspired and in awe of the love you outpour and I’m grateful for the push you’ve given me to drive with passion. I have been blessed to be brought up with such incredible parents who push and allow me to strive to be the best version of myself.
Thank you and I love you
So how exactly did my 20th birthday start?
Well a few 12am calls from my favourite people following some beautiful word expressed over text. And like every Sunday after a rush to get ready I enjoy some time in faith and feeding my soul at church. This year I had the absolute pleasure of spending my birthday with my Sunday School family which was an abundant amount of squishy love-filled hugs from my favourite little humans and lots of chocolate cake.
And then the best friend took me to lunch at Lupa Osteria (one of my favourite restaurants) filled with some craving-satisfying pizza and literally the best chocolate brownie of my life!! Seriously you need to order their brownies! Straight after I had coffee and a good catch up with one of the loveliest ladies I know and then came home freshened up and was off to dinner with my parents.
(I’m saving the dinner deets all for my next post)
